Halloween Kids’ Activity Paper Airplanes
I am so excited for this Halloween kids’ activity of making and playing with paper airplanes because I know that it is going to allow you to create so many family memories. It’s just one of the activities that are included in our Fall Family Fun Night Challenge. Have you signed up yet? It’s never too late. Even if you’re reading this in the middle of summer, get the handouts and save them for later.
You will learn how to make several Fall themed paper airplanes in the videos below. But they are just a starting place. No two airplanes should look the same. Start with a basic structure and then create your own design.
Oh, and stick around to the end to for a link to a yummy snack to have during your fun family time.
MAKE: Halloween Paper Airplanes
Project 1-Jack-o-Lantern Glider
SUPPLIES FROM THE BAG
- Orange construction paper
- Scraps of black construction paper
- Scissors
- Glue stick
Every project that is in this post (and on this entire website!) can be completed from the supplies that you already have in your bag if you have used the free printable shopping list (or Amazon links). I am hoping that by doing that, you can prepare once, and then be able to craft and craft and craft with your kids whenever the opportunity arises. By that, I mean whenever you can finally find a free moment in your day to just get your head above water. I know that parent is hard, and you want to have lots of quality time with your kiddos. Hopefully this helps, at least a little.

PLAY: Compete with your paper airplanes
This game is quite simple. All you need are your airplanes and a tape line on the floor. Each person will stand behind the line and throw their airplane. Whoever’s goes the farthest wins! You can play best 3 out of 5 (or whatever) and leave time to make some adjustments in between turns. You can also decide to have a second starting line for kids that are itty bitty. If you make up additional rules (like a challenge to see who gets closest to a target), just be sure to state the rules clearly at the beginning so that there is no family bickering (because that is totally what our super competitive family would do).
SNACK: Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies
Our SNACK this week comes from Jackie at Happy Hooligans. As soon as I saw this recipe, I knew that it was perfect for a family night. You can choose to make it ahead or make them together as part of your time together. They are simple to make and don’t take any exotic ingredients. You can find the recipe HERE.
