Step-by-step Instructions:

Step 1: Use the Free Frog Craft Template

  • Download the frog craft template and print it onto green construction paper.
  • Use a green patterned washi tape to cover the circle on the template for the body of your frog. This can be done in a random pattern, in stripes or criss crossing over the circle.

Step 2: Add Washi Tape

  • Once the circle is covered in washi tape, cut out the circle.

Step 3: Cut Out the Parts

  • Now cut the rest of the parts for your frog craft, including the front legs, back legs and eyes.

Step 4: Put Your Frog Craft Together

  • Now it’s time to assemble the frog craft.
  • Use your glue stick to attach the front legs and hind legs.
  • Then add the eyes to the top of the head.

Step 5: Make Him Smile

  • Apply the googly eyes next. You can choose what size to use.
  • Grab the black sharpie marker and draw on his smile.

What if I don’t have washi tape?

If you don’t have washi tape, you can still make this sweet froggy craft. Instead of washi tape, tear small pieces of paper and treat this like a mosaic instead. You can also use strips of a variant of green construction paper and lay them across the circle. Or simply skip the washi tape step all together and just decorate your frog with markers or crayons.

But I do strongly suggest you grab some washi tape because it’s the perfect craft supply. It comes in just about every pattern and color you can imagine, is rather inexpensive and is so versatile. I’ve never met a kid yet who didn’t enjoy playing with it.
