Preschool Polar Bear Craft
This preschool polar bear craft is not only fun and simple to make but it’s more than that. This activity is perfect for working on fine motor skills and especially bilateral coordination, which simple means the two sides of the body working together efficiently. If this skill is not honed, kiddos will often struggle with activities such as using scissors, zipping and buttoning, and opening containers.

SUPPLIES FROM THE BAG
- Paper plate (9-inch coated)
- Scissors
- White yarn
- Large googly eyes (self-adhesive)
- Small black pompom
- Markers
- Elmer’s glue
- Scotch tape
- Polar bear craft template
I love a simple craft, and who says that you need a bunch of fancy things to have fun creating something. We believe in doing more with less and keeping things do-able. You will not be asked to prep anything ahead of time. Just pull out your bag that you’ve filled using our master list of 27 basic items.

Preschool Polar Bear Craft Instructions
Step 1: Use the Polar Bear Craft Template
- Print the polar bear craft template
- Use it to cut the polar bear face out of the paper plate
Step 2: Wrap the Yarn Around
- Tape the end of the white yarn to the back of your polar bear cut out
- Then wrap it around and around until there is adequate coverage (use the picture as a guide). Don’t bother with the ears.
- When you are done, tape down the end and trim it off.
Step 3: Add Details to Your Preschool Polar Bear Craft
- Add the googly eyes to your polar bear craft
- Then glue the nose in place.
- Give the glue some time to set up before you move it around too much.
*If you prefer, use a glue dot to put the nose in place which will eliminate wait time for glue to dry.
Step 4: Finish It Off
- AS an optional final step, add some details to your polar bear’s ears.
