Step-by-step Instructions to Make Spring Flower Garden Chain:

Step 1: Cut up Construction Paper

  • Cut each sheet of construction paper into 8 one inch strips. Each sheet of paper will make 2 flowers

Step 2: Make Petals

  • Once you have all of your strips cut, fold each one in half. 
  • While holding the fold, bend the ends of the paper in the opposite direction of the fold to meet at the bottom and form a heart shape.
  • Staple the strip at the bottom to hold the petals together.
  • Repeat 3 more times for each flower.

Step 3: Put Your Flower Together

  • Once you have each of your sets of petals, staple these together on the inside. Try to make the staple as close to the center of the flower as possible so the petals don’t separate once you hang your garland 
  • Repeat these steps for as many flowers as you’d like to create and connect them on the edges of the petals just like you did as you did to form the flowers. 

Step 4: Start assembling your flower chain

  • Staple your individual flowers together in a chain

Step 5: Hang your Flower Chain and Enjoy!

  • Tie your yarn at the ends of the garland in order to hang it.
