How to Make a Faux Foam Finger

SUPPLIES FROM THE BAG

Construction paper (colors of your choice)
Markers (or crayons)
Scissors
Glue stick
Anything else you want to use to decorate your foam finger
Foam finger printable template

Each of these supplies is part of the master list of items that we use for every single creative project that you see on this site and in our shop. It’s the best way that I know to keep things simple and fun.

As a mom, I know that the more prep something takes, the less likely I am to actually follow through, even if it’s something that we love to do together. So, we’re taking away the obstacles by sticking to one bag of supplies that virtually eliminates the prep. Just fill your bag and craft along.

Save these DIY sports crafts for later. Pin it to your favorite Pinterest board…

Step 1: Use the Sports Finger Template

Choose 2 pieces of construction in whatever colors you like.
Download the foam finger template (pages 1 and 2)
Print the front on one page and the back on another paper.

Step 2: Decorate It

Use your markers (or crayons) and whatever else you would like to decorate the front and back of your “foam” finger.

Step 3: Cut It Out

Now that they’re decorated, cut out the parts for your DIY sports crafts foam finger.

Step 4: Glue It Together

Put glue all around the edge of the foam finger, leaving the bottom unglued.
Press firmly and give the glue a minute to set up.
Then slide your hand into the opening on the bottom of the fan finger and cheer away.
