Making gifts from the heart is a time honored tradition in our home. A gift made using your own hands, combined with imagination, is something to be truly cherished. And learning to give from our hearts rather than our wallets is such an important lesson for us to teach our kids. Though we haven’t been around long, there are a few crafts that we have made here at “In the Bag Kids’ Crafts” that are the perfect Christmas gifts for kids to make for their family and friends. Click on the pics or title to get to the full post…
Also, did you know that here at “In the Bag Kids’ Crafts” every…single…craft…is made from the same master list of supplies. This makes crafting so much easier and do-able with your little ones. Here is how to find out what to put in your bag so that you can craft along…
Project 1: Handprint Wall Hanging
I love handprint art, all of those little handprints and footprints. This is an elevated take on those types of projects. You can use anyone’s handprints to complete this and just weave them together. This example was made using the grandparents’ and grandchildren’s hand outlines. You can make it as pictured or skip adding the string to the top and frame it instead, even add pictures of the grandkids around the handprints for a special touch.
Project 2: Watermelon Coasters
We are’t usually thinking about a frosty cold lemonade in the middle of the winter at Christmastime, but these coasters are a great gift any time of year.
Project 3: Barnyard Animals
These fun and simple barnyard animals made from popsicle sticks can be made into fridge magnets, hung up as a decoration or framed (individually or as a group). There are 5 posts with these animals. Check them out here:
Project 4: Popsicle Stick Picture Frames
Picture frames are a classic gift. Make several and fill them with your favorite family picutures. Give one as a gift or an entire collection.
Project 5: Pencil Holder
This is a great gift for a teacher or anyone who loves to doodle! Fill it with fancy pencils, pens and markers to finish off the perfect gift!
This is just a start to the many amazing things that your kids can make for gifts as Christmas. Keep browsing, and let me know what you think! Plus, stay tuned for lots of Christmas themed gifts too, like homemade cards and ornaments. I would love to see what you make. Send pics, stories and videos to firstname.lastname@example.org
