Step-by-step Instructions:
Step 1: Add the Tiger’s Stripes
- Download and print the tiger craft template onto orange construction paper.
- Grab the black patterned washi tape and tear 3 pieces.
- Place them vertically coming down from the top of the circle as pictured.
- Now tear more washi tape and create 2 to 3 stripes on each side of the circle, about 1 inch long.

Step 2: Cut Out the Head
- Now that you’ve placed the tiger’s stripes, cut out the circle.

Step 3: Cut Out the Pieces
- Also cut out the ears and hair tuft.
- For the center of the ears and the nose, grab a scrap of black construction paper and place it under the template.
- Now cut out the rest of the pieces of your paper tiger craft.

Step 4: Begin Assembly
- Use your glue stick to assemble the tiger ears by giving each a black center.
- Then attach each of the ears to the tiger’s head.
- Also attach the little hair tuft to the top of your tiger’s head as a finishing touch.

Step 5: Add the Tiger’s Face
- Glue the tiger’s nose in place.
- Next add googly eyes to your tiger’s face. If you prefer, grab this printable of paper “googly” eyes to use instead.

Step 6: Give Him a Smile
- To finish off your cute tiger craft, use your black Sharpie marker to draw on a smile and any other details you would like.

Now that you know how to make this sweet tiger craft, why not make more? Change up the colors and design. Use your imagination to really bring your tiger to life.

What if I don’t have washi tape?
We’re using washi tape to bring this preschool tiger craft to life, but you can also just use strips of paper instead. Cut strips of black paper, about 1/2 inch wide and then tear them to the desired length when crafting. Another alternative is to color some glue with black paint and squeeze lines of black glue in place for the strips. You can also simply use crayons or markers to draw on the tiger’s stripes.
