It is my goal to see more families crafting together…for so many reasons. But mostly because it is just so much fun! And, in order to do that, it needs to require less prep and be an easy activity to bring out at a moment’s notice, whenever you have those rare found moments of life. To make creating with your kids’ do-able, fill your bag in advance (using the free printable shopping list or Amazon links HERE). Half of the items you probably already have in your house right now. It is just a matter of collecting them together. Once your craft kit is together, you can just pull it out and pick any craft on this blog. And I mean ANY craft. (With more crafts being added all the time!)

PIG CRAFT INSTRUCTIONS

Step 1: Make the Popsicle Stick Frame

  • Glue together 3 large popsicle sticks into a triangle frame shape using Elmer’s glue
  • Allow the glue to dry thoroughly

*You may want to prepare several triangle frames at once so that they are ready for other projects. Just keep them in your craft bag.

Step 2: Paint the Frame

  • Place the triangle frame on the newspaper
  • Pinch the pompom with the clothespin to form a “paint brush”
  • Squeeze a little pink paint onto the newspaper and paint the triangle frame
  • Set aside and allow the paint to dry

Step 3: Build the Base

  • Use the free printable template to cut a triangle out of pink construction paper
  • Once the paint has dried, glue the paper triangle to the back of the popsicle stick frame

Step 4: Use the Pig Craft Template

  • Use the printable template to cut all of the pieces out for your pig craft
  • Also cut a small strip of paper, smaller than the width of the nose and about 2 inches long.
  • Fold it into an accordion

  • Glue the ears into place
  • Then glue the pig nose to the end of the folded accordion paper and glue that into the center of the triangle
  • Place the googly eyes
  • Use your markers to add other details
